Lieutenant Governor Nancy Wyman will attend the deployment of the Connecticut Army National Guard Aviation Battalion. The 1-169 General Support Aviation Battalion will serve in Kosovo providing medical evacuation, transportation, and fuel support.

Lieutenant Governor Nancy Wyman will receive the Channel 3 Kids Camp WRAP award for her advocacy on children's issues and her work to expand access to health care. The award will be presented during their annual fundraiser for the Channel 3 Kids Camp which serves young people throughout the region.

Tuesday: Lt. Governor Wyman Attends Housing Groundbreaking in Hartford, Speaks at Military Send-Off Ceremony
Lieutenant Governor Nancy Wyman will join Connecticut Department of Housing Commissioner Evonne Klein at the Hands on Hartford groundbreaking ceremony. The Hands on Hartford community center is making renovations to bring supportive housing, meal service, job training, and other programs under one roof. The Housing Department invested $950,000 in the project.

Lieutenant Governors Support National Guard
As debate continues in Washington D.C. regarding National Guard funding, state and territorial elected leaders stand with the National Guard. Twenty-five seconds-in-command (Lt. Governors and Secretaries of State) are writing the United States President and Congress to oppose proposed federal funding cuts to the National Guard, the only military force shared by the states and the federal government.
