Governor Dannel P. Malloy today met with community leaders and city officials in Hartford for a roundtable discussion on the “Second Chance Society” initiatives he unveiled during a policy speech yesterday, and highlighted one specific initiative in his comprehensive package that he said is one of the most effective ways to reduce crime while helping former offenders re-enter society: expanding education and employment opportunities.

Gov. Malloy: Habco Industries to Expand Operations and Jobs in Glastonbury
Governor Dannel P. Malloy announced today that HABCO Industries, which builds test and ground-support equipment for the aerospace industry, is expanding its Glastonbury operation and plans to increase its workforce from 42 to 79 over the next four years.

Governor Dannel P. Malloy announced today that precision manufacturer Leipold, Inc., the Windsor–based division of internationally known Leipold Gmbh, will be expanding its Connecticut operation and increasing employment by up to fifty percent over the next two years.
