• 3/4/2015 Gov. Malloy: New Round of Funding Will Help Clean Up and Reactivate Connecticut Brownfields

  Governor Dannel P. Malloy today announced the Connecticut Department of Economic and Community Development (DECD) is now accepting applications for a new round of grant funding of up to $7.5 million that will be awarded to help remediate and redevelop brownfield sites throughout the state.

Malloy today announced that he is selecting Hamden Mayor Scott Jackson to serve as the state's Under Secretary for Intergovernmental Policy, a position that will be responsible for the streamlining the delivery of targeted state investments into urban communities and regions in order to maximize their output and extend those improvements across surrounding areas.

  On Wednesday afternoon, Governor Dannel P. Malloy and Department of Transportation Commissioner James P. Redeker will hold a groundbreaking ceremony in Waterbury to commemorate the start of the widening of Interstate 84 in the city between the areas of Washington Street and Pierpont Road, creating a third lane in each direction.  They will be joined at the event by Mayor Neil M. O'Leary and other local officials.

• 3/2/2015 Tuesday: Gov. Malloy Receives Award from National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Keynotes Chamber of Commerce of Eastern Connecticut Meeting

  On Tuesday morning, Governor Dannel P. Malloy will attend a ceremony hosted by the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, where he will be presented with the organization’s “Governor of the Year” award for his efforts to benefit families affected by multiple sclerosis.
