Gov. Malloy, Conn. Airport Authority & DECD Announce New Aer Lingus Service from Bradley International Airport to Dublin
Governor Dannel P. Malloy and officials from the Connecticut Airport Authority (CAA) today announced the reestablishment of transatlantic service at Bradley International Airport - a years-long effort that Governor Malloy has completed in order to support the economy, boost tourism, and improve travel for our to and from our state.

Friday: Gov. Malloy Makes Announcement Regarding Upgrades to the I-95, I-91 Interchange in New Haven
On Friday at noon, Governor Dannel P. Malloy will hold a news conference to give updates on major upgrades that are being made to the I-95/I-91 interchange in New Haven. The project is part of a $2 billion, multi-modal transportation improvement plan that is the largest, most comprehensive construction project ever undertaken by the Connecticut Department of Transportation. The Governor will be joined by DOT Commissioner James P. Redeker.

Gov. Malloy Plans Major Renovation of Area Surrounding the Charter Oak Bridge to Reduce Traffic Congestion on I-91N in Hartford
Governor Dannel P. Malloy today announced that the adopted FY 2016/2017 state budget includes funding to begin a major renovation of the area surrounding the Charter Oak Bridge in Hartford in order to alleviate a frequent traffic bottleneck that for years has been a source of congestion on I-91 North, often leading to motor vehicle accidents and traffic delays. Plans for the renovated highway will provide a more efficient connection from I-91 North to I-84 East.

Governor Dannel P. Malloy today announced that the State of Connecticut has launched a complete redesign of its official website - www.ct.gov - containing a new layout, new features, and new efficiency measures that will ultimately increase usability, customer service, transparency, and access for its visitors.

Gov. Malloy Signs 2016-2017 Budget to Invest in Transportation, Deliver Property Tax Relief
Governor Dannel P. Malloy today signed the FY 2016-2017 budget, including corresponding implementers, which makes major investments in transportation infrastructure and delivers property tax relief for middle class families. The budget holds spending growth to 3.9% in 2016 and 3.0% in the following fiscal year. The budget will also cap the car tax at 32 mills in 2017 and 29.5 mills in 2018 - tax relief for thousands of middle-class Connecticut families.

Gov. Malloy: State Receives Nearly $580,000 to Address Zika, Monitor Zika-Related Birth Defects
Governor Dannel P. Malloy and the members of Connecticut's Congressional delegation today announced that the Connecticut Department of Public Health (DPH) will be receiving a $579,055 grant from the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to support and enhance the state's efforts to protect Connecticut residents from Zika virus and monitor serious birth defects, like microcephaly, and other adverse health outcomes that can be caused by Zika virus.

Gov. Malloy Directs Connecticut Flag on State Capitol Building Lowered Tuesday in Honor of Waterbury Deputy Police Chief Corbett
Governor Dannel P. Malloy today announced that he is directing the State of Connecticut flag to be lowered to half-staff on the State Capitol building in Hartford from sunrise to sunset on Tuesday, June 16, in honor of Waterbury Acting Deputy Police Chief Christopher Corbett.

Gov. Malloy: State Homelessness Dropping Due to Rapid Results Efforts
Governor Dannel P. Malloy today praised the efforts of rapid results teams from across the state who participated in 100-day challenges to end homelessness in five different regions of Connecticut. The reductions are part of the state's efforts to end homelessness among veterans by the end of 2015 and chronically homeless individuals by the end of 2016.
