Gov. Malloy: Connecticut Ranked Tenth Healthiest State for Seniors
Governor Dannel P. Malloy, Lt. Governor Nancy Wyman, Department of Public Health Commissioner Dr. Jewel Mullen, and Department on Aging Commissioner Elizabeth Ritter today announced that a new report ranks Connecticut as the tenth healthiest state for seniors, rising from twelfth place last year, according to the third edition of United Health Foundation's America's Health Rankings 2015 Senior Report.

Gov. Malloy Announces CTfastrak to Expand East of the River Into East Hartford and Manchester
Governor Dannel P. Malloy today joined elected officials from the Greater Hartford region to announce that the adopted FY 2016/2017 biennial budget includes funding to expand CTfastrak east of the Connecticut River into East Hartford and Manchester. The bus rapid transit system currently has ten stations along the 9.4 mile bus-only roadway, which extends between New Britain, Newington, West Hartford and Hartford, partly along abandoned rail line and existing Amtrak rail line.

Gov. Malloy Signs Legislation Increasing Access to Higher Education Opportunities for Connecticut Residents
Governor Dannel P. Malloy today announced that he has signed into law legislation that improves access to higher education opportunities for Connecticut residents by allowing the children of undocumented immigrants to attend state institutions of higher education and pay the in-state tuition rate if the student has attended a Connecticut high school for at least two years and has graduated from a Connecticut high school.

Governor Dannel P. Malloy is applauding the Connecticut General Assembly for giving bipartisan, final approval today in favor of the "Second Chance Society" legislation he introduced that is designed to continue the progress being made in reducing the state's dropping crime rate, which is currently at a 48-year low, as well as ensuring nonviolent offenders are being reintegrated into society and become productive members of Connecticut's economy.

Gov. Malloy: Governor's Residence Open for Public Tours on June 13 as Part of "Connecticut Open House Day"
