• 10/29/2012 Tuesday: Gov. Malloy Updates Media on Impact of Hurricane Sandy

  On Tuesday, Governor Dannel P. Malloy will hold three media briefings at the state Emergency Operations Center (EOC) in Hartford to provide updates on Connecticut's response to Hurricane Sandy -- the first at 8:30 a.m., followed by another at noon, and then a third at 6:00 p.m.

  On Wednesday, Governor Malloy will visit Quinebaug Valley Community College in Danielson, Housatonic Community College in Bridgeport, and Naugatuck Valley Community College in Waterbury where he will participate in three separate ceremonies to commemorate the opening of each community college’s new Advanced Manufacturing Centers.

  On Thursday, United States Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano will visit Connecticut and join Governor Dannel P.   Governor Dannel P. Malloy on Sunday evening announced that he has ordered all non-essential state employees not to report into work on Monday, October 29, in response to the impending severe impact of Hurricane Sandy on Connecticut.
