Gov. Malloy Introduces Commonsense Gun Violence Prevention Legislation

Malloy today announced that he is sponsoring legislation designed to protect the victims of domestic violence by prohibiting possession of firearms for anyone who becomes subject to a temporary restraining order, eliminating a critical window of time during which time a victim's life could be at risk.

Gov. Malloy Announces New Haven Line Sets All-Time Ridership Record

Malloy today announced that ridership on the New Haven commuter rail line for 2015 surpassed 40.3 million passenger trips - up two percent from the prior year and setting an all-time record, according to newly released data from Metro-North Railroad. Gov. Malloy Advises Residents: Bitter Cold Weather to Impact the State Over Next Several Days
Governor Dannel P. Malloy is urging Connecticut residents to prepare for bitter cold temperatures over the next several days, with current forecasts for this weekend projecting a low of -5 to -10 degrees F. Sustained winds of 15 MPH, with gusts to 30-35 MPH, are expected. This could create a wind chill of -25 to -35 at times.
