  Following a meeting at Connecticut's Emergency Operations Center and joined by agency commissioners, Governor Dannel P. Malloy today announced details about the state's cross-functional, cross-department coordination to respond to the Zika virus.  To ensure the safety of Connecticut residents, the Governor and state agencies are proactively planning now for any contingencies that may arise.

Malloy today announced that ridership on the New Haven commuter rail line for 2015 surpassed 40.3 million passenger trips - up two percent from the prior year and setting an all-time record, according to newly released data from Metro-North Railroad.  The New Haven Line is the busiest commuter rail line in America.

  Governor Dannel P. Malloy is urging Connecticut residents to prepare for bitter cold temperatures over the next several days, with current forecasts for this weekend projecting a low of -5 to -10 degrees F.  Sustained winds of 15 MPH, with gusts to 30-35 MPH, are expected.  This could create a wind chill of -25 to -35 at times.
